PROCESSION FOR END TIMES I
Procession for End Times was the first art action taken by the art collective TRAction. Drawing volunteer participants from around Calgary, Alberta including scientists, physicians, academics, former politicians, students and a variety of artists, Procession for End Times drew unprecedented attention to the climate and ecological crises in Calgary as it coincided with the global climate strikes in September 2019. Through a slow and sombre action on the main pedestrian thoroughfare in downtown Calgary - the main headquarters for oil and gas extraction in Canada, the art activists joined with Fridays for Future, Extinction Rebellion, and other protestors for a mass die-in City Hall.

Along the way, they crossed five intersections, blocking traffic for long periods in order for all participants to cross.
No one honked.
